How can a Mom Lose Custody?
Just like fathers, a mother can lose custody if she’s being abusive or is neglecting her children, alienating their father from them, or putting their lives in danger. Domestic violence, child abduction, and violation of court orders can also be proper grounds to lose custody. The court has the right to modify any existing agreement or completely take away the mother’s custodial rights when she is proven to be doing acts that are against the law.
